- Small room
You'll need
- old hand towel or tea towel
- treats or a favourite toy
Set up
Lay an old towel flat on the floor.
How to play
Drop a treat on the towel and fold one corner over it while your dog watches.
Say "Find it" and let your dog flip the corner to get it.
Next, scatter 4 treats and roll the towel up loosely from one end.
For more challenge, tie the ends in a loose knot with treats or a toy inside.
Stay close and cheer as your dog noses and paws it open.
Pick the towel up when all treats are found.
House rules
- The towel is a puzzle, not a chew toy. Once it's open, it goes away.
- Make it easier
- Fold just one corner over a single treat.
- Make it harder
- Knot it twice, or wrap the toy inside two towels.
Signs it's having fun
Pawing, nose-flipping folds, proud look when the toy pops out.
Stop if you see
Your dog starts shredding and eating the towel.
Safety
- Supervise; swap to a puzzle toy if your dog chews or swallows fabric.
