How to play
Blow a few bubbles low, near your dog's head height.
Cheer when your dog snaps one.
Blow another stream in a new direction.
Play 3 to 5 minutes.
End with a treat or a toy game so the chase has a real 'catch'.
House rules
- Short bursts.
- End with something real to catch: a toy or treat.
- Make it easier
- Blow bubbles slowly, close to your dog.
- Make it harder
- Blow streams further away so your dog runs.
Signs it's having fun
Bouncy snaps, play bows, wagging.
Stop if you see
Fixated staring at the air after the game, or frantic searching. Switch to toy play.
Safety
- Only pet-safe bubbles; human bubble mix can upset the stomach.
- Keep bubbles away from eyes.
- Some dogs become obsessed with chasing lights and bubbles. Like laser pointers, end with a real toy, and stop if your dog keeps searching afterwards.
